Mutiara Collection, MSME assisted by RB Rembang Semen Gresik Turns Leaves into High Value Fashion Works
Rembang, October 31st, 2024 – The clothing or fashion business has become a basic need in society from various local and international brands. Just like Siti Khulifah, Owner of the original Rembang ecoprint fashion product 'Mutiara Collection' which is one of the fostered BUMN Houses (RB) Rembang.
Rumah BUMN Rembang itself is managed by a co-partnership between PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) and a subsidiary of PT Semen Gresik Rembang factory.
Starting from the beginning of the recycle business, with macrame rope and ecoprint products. Ecoprint is a printing technique that uses natural materials, such as leaves, flowers, stems, or twigs, to create patterns on fabric.
Siti Khulifah said Mutiara Collection can earn a turnover of Rp 12 million per year, with a wide selection of products such as ecoprint hijab, ecoprint tumblers, ecoprint mugs, ecoprint totebags, rope wall hangings, talikur sandals, and recycled kotis (from coffee wrappers).
“Our products are original homemade, combining more varied leaf motifs with intense colors that light up (look attractive),” said the female owner from Sluke, Rembang Regency.
Currently, ecoprint itself already has four products, namely clothes, mugs, tumblers, and headscarves. She usually uses teak leaves, jaranan leaves, or bride's tears to produce ecoprint motifs.
Since joining RB Rembang PT Semen Gresik in 2019, Mutiara Collection has received many benefits, especially in expanding market reach, increasing turnover, and adding knowledge about the business world.
“Hopefully, the assistance from RB Rembang will be able to have a real and wider positive effect on business actors,” he said.

According to him, for 4 years of existence, RB Rembang PT Semen Gresik has recorded a total transaction of IDR 3.9 billion, with 415 MSME partners, and successfully held 112 training sessions for fostered MSMEs, millennials, and the community.
